Rock Dedication

Beachwood First Aid Squad was formed in 1942, right after the start of World War II. Although plans and fund raising efforts to start the squad were well underway by the start of the war. The squad had a yearly dance corresponding to the celebrated birth of our country, July 4th.  During those trying times no doubt it took a lot of effort to organize and actually achieve the celebration. We have discovered evidence of at least 5 consecutive dances and it's interesting to see the music choices, phone numbers as well as the supporters from "back in the day". Check out the "Dance setion".There is also a wealth of Squad history waiting to be scanned in and published electronically so check back periodically for updates.

Beachwood First Aid was the first volunteer squad in New Jersey to have a dedicated Mass Casualty Unit, check it out!
