Welcome to the Official home of the Beachwood First Aid Squad. We've tried to make this site representative of our mission to serve the citizens of Beachwood and surrounding communities. Our goal is to provide updates at least on a weekly (if not daily) basis. Hey, we have day jobs too! Questions? Suggestions? Comments? Let us know!

The members of the Beachwood First Aid Squad have one goal. That is to provide the best emergency treatment and transport possible.

In order to attain that goal, as a minimum, our members are all New Jersey State certified EMT's. They work diligently to maintain that certification as many perform these same services for professional EMS agencies. Some members have advanced Paramedic certifications and advanced Nursing degrees.

We provide these services at no charge to the residents of the communities we serve because of our desire to help. We receive little government funding and depend on the generous donations of our community to fully equip our organization. Please help us to continue serving the community by donating. We are a 501(c) organization; all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Please remember, we live here and we're here to help you! Please take a moment to look around, hopefully you will find something of interest. Thanks for visiting!

EMS

We are sorry if we woke you in the middle of the night

But someone nearby is fighting for their life.

We are sorry if we block the road and make you turn around,

But there's been a bad accident with people dying on the ground.

When you see us coming I hope you'll understand, please

Let us have the right-of-way - someone needs a helping hand.

Sometimes a child is choking, sometimes a broken leg,

Sometimes a heart stops beating, if we arrive a heartbeat too late.

We are sorry if you see us crying when we think we're alone

Sometimes you can stay deaths icy grip sometimes their fate’s unknown.

We don't do it for the money -- you know we don't get paid.

We don't do it for the glory but for a life that might be saved.

Somewhere deep within us our souls are crying out

"We're here to help our fellow man in their hour of pain and doubt."

God gave us something special to help us see you through

We do it because we care, of course, we care about you too.

EMT’s Prayer

God...

Grant me the ability

To give emergency care.

With skillful hands, a knowledgeable mind

And tender love and care.

Help me deal with everything,

When lives are on the line.

To see the worst, administer aid,

And ease a worried mind.

So help me as I go today

Accept what fate may be.

Touch these hands,

Use this mind,

Help this EMT

AMEN
